Working in the Ipswich Land Management Department, part of the 35 strong Eastern Region Consultancy covering Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, Matthew specialises in strategic rural estate management for a range of private clients. Matthew also undertakes professional valuations and is an RICS registered valuer, as well as providing general professional consultancy advice.

Education & Qualifications

Matthew read Geography BSc (Hons) at Royal Holloway, UOL before taking an MSc in Rural Estate Management at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. Matthew is a Fellow of the CAAV and AssocArb.


Matthew is from a farming family in Leicestershire and has a keen interest in the countryside. Matthew plays squash, is a long distance runner and enjoys skiing, as well as a range of country pursuits. Outside of work, Matthew is on the Under 30’s Committee for the Farmers Club, the committee of the Deben Farmers Club, is the Chair of the Want to Know Ltd annual tutorial and undertakes a range of charity events for both local and national charities.

Matthew attended the Worshipful Company of Farmers Challenge of Rural Leadership Course in 2018.
