Nigel is the Director in charge of the 11-strong Land Management team in Canterbury. He advises clients in Kent, Sussex and Essex specialising in rural estate management and acting for a variety of private clients and institutions. He is personally responsible for the management of more than 22,000 acres of land. Nigel also acts for other private and institutional clients carrying out specific consultancy work such as restructuring, valuations and rent reviews. He is also responsible for farm agency in Kent and has sold £15m worth of agricultural land in the last 2 years. Before joining Strutt and Parker Nigel worked as a resident agent on the Buccleuch Estates in Scotland, the Burghley Estate in Lincolnshire and the Alscot Estate in Warwickshire.
Education & qualifications
Nigel graduated from Harper Adams Agricultural College with a degree in Rural Land Management and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1999. Nigel is also a probationer of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers and a member of the CLA
When he gets a chance to be away from his wife and three young children Nigel tries to continue to pursue an active lifestyle with a keen interest in running, diving, climbing, skydiving and walking. He was a Captain in the reserve Parachute Regiment for 14 years and is now learning to kite surf.
