Stevie Whiteford

Senior Associate Director

Stephen is an experienced fam business consultant with a breadth of knowledge covering livestock and arable farming systems.

  • Farming

With a keen eye on ever changing agri-policy and volatility throughout the supply chain and commodity markets, he has become a trusted advisor to businesses looking to adapt and restructure.

Stephen comes from a farming background and alongside his role with Strutt & Parker, is a partner in his family mixed arable and livestock farming business. The hands-on experience of running that business translates directly to how he delivers advice to clients with delivery covering all aspects of technical and business management.

Stephen’s role with clients varies from direct management of contract farming agreements including production and financial planning, to specific project management on diversification and agri-environmental work. With a range of livestock and arable farming clients that are in regular contact, Stephen delivers ad-hoc subsidy, grant and general business planning advice to businesses throughout Scotland.

Stephen has a particular specialism in organic farming through bringing a handful of businesses through the conversion process in recent years as a means of reducing carbon emissions and improving soil management.
