Roughland Wood is located in the High Weald between the villages of Four Throws and Iden Green. Access to the woodland is from a gateway on Hinksden Road and along an unmade track.

Roughland Wood is a well presented parcel of mixed broadleaf woodland that provides a great habitat for biodiversity and excellent potential for timber production. The unmade track used to access the woodland can also be used for timber extraction.

There is a Right of Way across the land adjacent to the woodland that is used to access the wood from Hinksden road.
