Situation

Minchinhampton is an ancient small Cotswold market town between Cirencester and Stroud. The town has an active parish church, good range of every day shops including a general store, butcher, chemist, and Post Office as well as restaurants, pubs and cafés. The main local centres are Nailsworth, Stroud and Cirencester which between them offer a comprehensive range of shops as well as various specialist suppliers. Cheltenham, Gloucester, Swindon, Bristol and Bath are the main regional centres. There is a primary school in Minchinhampton and good grammar schools in Stroud, Cheltenham and Gloucester.

Directions

From Cirencester take the A419 for Stroud. After about 7 miles turn left at Aston Down for Minchinhampton. Follow this road for about 2 miles and as the Common opens up in front of you turn left into the centre of the town. 2 Butt Street will be found on the left just before the road narrows around a corner.
