A spacious period village house beautifully restored by the current owners

Yew Tree House occupies a wonderful location in the heart of the village but is set well back from the Village lane with views over its own land and beyond. The front door opens into a spacious reception hall from which the main rooms are accessed with a contemporary staircase leading to the first floor. The beautifully appointed kitchen/breakfast/family room forms part of a modern extension and is the heart of the house, it is flooded with light with a bespoke kitchen by ‘Loveridge kitchens and bathrooms’ a spacious dining and sitting area and several sets of French doors access the various terraces and gardens beyond. The three further reception rooms on the ground floor are full of period features including thoughtfully restored mullion windows, open fires but with all modern amenities. The ground floor accommodation is completed by a cloakroom and a utility room.

Stairs rise from the entrance hall to the first floor with four bedrooms and three bathrooms including the principal bedroom (part of the modern extension) with a vaulted ceiling and bi-fold doors leading to a ‘juliette’ balcony with views over the gardens and paddock. The bedroom accommodation is completed by the self-contained second floor bedroom suite.

During the painstaking renovation of the house the current owners have taken great trouble to retain the best of the period features of the house but blending it with modern amenities including ‘Duravit’, ‘Matki’ and ‘Imperial’ bathroom suites as well as ‘Fired Earth’ vanity units and flooring throughout.

This property has 2.1 acres of land.
