Period Cottage

Yew Tree Cottage, which was once the bakery in the village, is an attractive Grade II listed, period property, retaining many original features. The original part is believed to be Georgian with Victorian and later extensions. The pretty porch at the front with climbing roses leads you into the reception hall which has an open fire place and quarry tiled flooring. The sitting room and dining room are both a good size and each also has open fire place. There is a lovely breakfast room with an Aga which flows through to the kitchen and utility room. These rooms overlook the central courtyard and there is access from the hall and the utility room out to this area. There is also a door leading from the courtyard into the garage. From the reception hall, the stairs take you up to the main bedroom and surprisingly large en suite bathroom/dressing room. There are also three further double bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Outside

A pedestrian gate takes you up a few steps to a pathway leading up to the front door of Yew Tree Cottage. The pretty cottage garden lies to the front of the house and is mainly laid to lawn with some flower borders and mature trees on the boundary. There is a lane leading up the side of the property which turns in the gravel driveway in front of the garage with parking for up to three cars. There is a small courtyard set within the house with access to the garage and the outside.
