The Willows is an impressive detached family home in a private setting offering almost 2,000 sq. ft of light-filled accommodation arranged over two floors.
The welcoming reception hall leads to the three reception rooms on the ground floor, each of which with an abundance of natural light and finished with clean, neutral décor. The well-proportioned sitting room has a grand fireplace, fitted with a wood burning stove, adjacent to which is an elegantly presented dining room with patio doors leading out to the gardens. Adjoining the sitting room is a sunny conservatory overlooking the south-west facing rear gardens. The kitchen, fitted with stylish wooden units and integrated appliances, as well as a breakfast bar, leads to the large cloakroom and connects to the double garage and accesses the rear gardens.
Upstairs there is a cosy open plan study/tv room, three double bedrooms, two of which with fitted storage, and the principal bedroom, also with extensive fitted storage and an en suite shower room. There is also a spacious family bathroom with separate bath and power shower.
At the entrance to the property, dual five-bar wooden gates open onto the large gravel driveway, which provides plenty of parking space and leads to the double garage with electric door. The garage has space for up to two vehicles, or could be used as storage or workshop space. The beautifully kept gardens to the rear benefit from a south-west facing aspect and feature an L-shaped paved terrace, extensive lawns, colourful border flowerbeds and a variety of shrubs, hedgerows and mature trees. The gardens back onto open fields, separated by a gently trickling stream, providing wonderful views.
The property lies in a rural setting between the small Cheshire villages of Shocklach and Tilston, close to the Welsh borders and surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside. Both villages have pubs and primary schools, while Tilston also has a local shop and a post office.
The larger village of Malpas lies three and a half miles to the southeast, with its selection of shops and local amenities, including a doctors surgery and post office. Malpas has a further primary and secondary school. Just over eight miles away, Whitchurch offers a larger selection of shops and local facilities, while bustling Wrexham is found 11 miles to the west. The vibrant and historic city of Chester is also within easy reach, with its superb shopping, leisure and cultural facilities. The area is well connected by a strong network of A-roads, while the M53 and M56 are both accessible just north of Chester.
From Chester city centre, take the A51 east and keep right, following the sign for Whitchurch. Continue to keep right, and then turn left onto the B5130. Follow the B5130 for eight miles, and arriving at a crossroads, continue straight ahead onto the B5069. After three and a half miles, in Shocklach, turn left after the pub and continue for a mile before turning right onto Green Lane. You will find the property on your right-hand side.Read all
