Grade II* Georgian house with many original features, in an elevated position with adjoining 4 acre paddock. (22 further acres available separately)

Top-y-Fron is a Grade II* Listed detached three storey property which dates from the 18th century and is said to be one of the earliest brick houses in Flintshire. The property retains numerous original features such as flagstone floor to the hallway, Jacobean-style wooden panelling within the dining room and single glazed sash windows, all of which are attractive features giving the property much character.

This property has 4 acres of land.

Outside

Top-y-Fron Hall is approached off Kelsterton Lane by a short driveway which leads to the rear of the main house and garage buildings. The property looks out across the parkland and woodland to the north-east, towards the Dee Estuary.

The gardens surrounding the Hall were an impressive feature of the property and incorporate an interesting array of species, including numerous mature trees and shrubs. In recent years the gardens have been neglected, although the original layout of the formal gardens remain and could be restored to their former glory. Adjoining paddock of about 4 acres.

Situation

• The property is well placed for access to Chester which offers a full range of facilities including a station, racecourse and independent and private schools.

• The A55 gives good access, west along the North Wales coast and east to Chester and the motorway network.
