From Inverness take the A862 towards Bunchrew. Continue on the A862 going past Bunchrew House on the right and approx. 100 yards after the Caravan Park also on the right, take the next left turn signposted Englishton Muir and Kirkton Muir 1.75 miles. There is also a sign to ‘The Old Farm Cattery’.

Go over the train line, the road then bends to the left, then right and straightens out uphill for approx. 1.5km. The road then bends to the right where you will see a sign for “Old Farm Cattery - 1 mile".

Keep right on this road and continue on this straight piece of road for 1-2km (the view of the Moray Firth will now on your right). The road then bends sharp left and after approx. 1km take the next right at a small T junction signposted to Kirkton Muir (look out for a small sign on the left in the trees).

Follow this road for 2-3km until the tarmac road runs out. When you see a green letter box with Number 5 (blue and green bin behind) turn right down the gravel track to Hollytree Cottage.
