Idyllically situated, outstanding village home with stables and paddocks

Prospect Villa dates back to the 1850s and has been reconfigured and remodelled, to include the conversion of the attached flint barns, to create an outstanding, substantial and versatile family home of excellent proportions offering 4882sqft of immaculately and tastefully presented accommodation. All of the reception rooms have fireplaces and French windows open to the terrace and garden. Scope to work from home is possible with two study areas and the accommodation is laid out in such a way that it affords superbly flexible living space, providing an ideal guest wing at one end of the house. The kitchen/breakfast room also has doors opening to the terrace and is fully fitted with attractive wall and base units and fitted appliances. The master bedroom in the main part of the house is particularly impressive with wonderful views over the garden and a stunning en-suite bathroom with a contemporary free standing double ended bath and a walk in shower cubicle. Features to note throughout the property are the high ceilings giving a sense of space and light and many of the rooms are double aspect to benefit from the far reaching countryside views which surround the house.

Outside

The setting of Prospect Villa is truly superb. The property occupies a wonderful position close to the edge of the village offering excellent levels of tranquillity and seclusion. The gardens are beautifully maintained and landscaped and are mainly laid to lawn with established trees, well stocked flower and shrub beds and borders and a fruit orchard. A large paved terrace runs along the back of the house to take advantage of the south-west facing aspect and the lovely views across the lawns and paddocks beyond. There is a gravelled garden to the side of the house which is also very attractively planted and a timber pergola, abundant with climbing plants, leading down to an ornamental pond and further seating areas. Tucked away in one garden of the garden is the all-weather tennis court, fully enclosed with sports fencing. To one side of the garden is a kitchen garden with vegetable beds, soft-fruit cages, a brick built potting shed and a dog run.

Accessed via its own driveway are the stable block and the paddocks which wrap around the formal gardens. There is also a detached timber barn, with water and power, a detached stable and a composting area.
