A charming rural cottage with three bedrooms, light, attractive accommodation and a splendid garden

Set in a beautiful rural setting with expansive views across the NORTHUMBERLAND countryside, Pheasant COTTAGE provides almost 2, 000 sq. ft of stylish accommodation arranged over two floors.

On the ground floor there’s a well-proportioned sitting room, which has wooden flooring and a splendid fireplace, fitted with a woodburning stove. There’s also a formal dining room, a family room and to the rear, a sunny conservatory with a WOODBURNER and views across the garden. The contemporary kitchen has plenty of storage, a range cooker and space for all of the necessary appliances, while the adjoining breakfast room provides space for informal dining.

On the first floor there are three double bedrooms, two of which have extensive storage in built-in wardrobes. The first floor also has a large family bathroom with a separate walk-in shower unit.

Outside

At the front of the COTTAGE the low-maintenance garden has paved and gravel terracing, and a variety of plants. The driveway is located to the side of the house, providing plenty of parking space and access to the large, detached double garage. The delightful garden extends to the side and rear and includes paved terracing, timber decking, areas of well-maintained lawn, a pond, border and raised flowerbeds and a variety of shrubs and mature trees.

Situation

The property is set in a rural position, surrounded by stunning surrounding NORTHUMBERLAND countryside four miles north of Morpeth. All of the day-to-day amenities, including supermarkets, are available in Morpeth. There are excellent road links in the area, with the A1 just a mile and a half from the property, with mainline train services available from Morpeth (17 minutes to Newcastle). Morpeth boasts several outstanding primary schools, including Morpeth First School and Abbeyfields First School, plus a number of good secondary schools, including the outstanding-rated King Edward VI Academy.

Directions

From Strutt & Parker’s Morpeth office, head to the roundabout and take the first exit onto Newgate Street/A192. After a mile and a quarter, at the roundabout, take the first exit, and then take the second exit and the third exit at the next roundabouts, to join the A1 heading north. Keep left and leave at the next junction, turning onto the A697. After a mile and a half, turn right, and after a quarter of a mile you will arrive at the property on the left-hand side.
