Situation

Poulton is a popular and active Cotswold village with a good pub, The Falcon Inn, as well as a village hall, church and Poulton Cricket Club. The popular Gilbertine Cafe is just to the south of the village. The surrounding countryside also provides many good walks. The Poulton Hill Estate is a small family run vineyard. Cirencester (5 miles) has an excellent range of shops and services. Other local centres include Fairford, Lechlade and Burford. The main regional centres are Cheltenham, Swindon and Oxford, all of which are within daily commuting distance. Poulton is about 4 miles from the A419 dual carriageway for access to junction 15 of the M5 at Swindon. Direct rail services to London Paddington from Kemble or Swindon stations, the latter scheduled to take from approximately 55 minutes. Local sporting opportunities include a number of golf courses.

Directions

From Cirencester take the A417 east towards Fairford and Lechlade. After about 5 miles enter Poulton. Pass the Falcon on your right and follow the road around as it bears to the right. The entrance to Hill Brow Cottage is shortly on the left – the house sign is attached to a telegraph pole. Go up the drive and bear immediately right into the parking area.
