The striking breakfast area with vaulted ceilings allow plenty of light into the room and which has a wonderful open and airy feel. Double doors open out from two sides of the breakfast area onto the terrace, ideal for dining or entertaining. The generously proportioned drawing room has a fireplace with log burning stove, as well as large windows looking out to both the front and rear of the property. On the first floor, the master bedroom takes precedence with a dressing room and stylish en-suite with a double shower. There is a guest bedroom on this floor with views over the farmland to the front, and a contemporary family bathroom. Both bathrooms benefit from underfloor heating. The remaining two bedrooms are located on the second floor, also benefiting from beautiful elevated views. The whole house has been exquisitely designed and caters equally for modern family living or as a country retreat, with contemporary design sympathetically incorporated into this charming period cottage.
The property is approached over a gravel driveway to the front of the house with parking for several cars alongside a landscaped boundary leading through to the rear of the property. A smart terrace sits at the back of the house with doors opening out from the kitchen/breakfast room, taking advantage of the southerly aspect. Careful and tasteful landscaping is seen throughout, and of particular note are the well designed raised beds which can be viewed from the sitting room and a beautiful climbing rose tree to the front elevation. Mature hedging lines the boundary providing a good degree of privacy. To one side of the cottage sits an attractive timber clad studio/office which was erected in January 2018 and provides very useful additional living space.
