An attractive and versatile 6/7 bedroom family home close to the town centre

The front door leads into a smart reception hall with a welcoming open fireplace with brick surround and exposed beams. Ahead are the drawing room and dining room which flow well from one to the other and are an excellent space for formal entertaining, with the drawing room boasting a wonderful inglenook fireplace and both having plenty of windows overlooking the garden, as well as French doors to the outside. The kitchen is well appointed with wooden cabinetry, black granite worktops, a double Butler's sink, a range oven and an island with oak top and sink. There is also a door to the terrace outside. Also on the ground floor are a very useful study, a home office and a double bedroom with en suite shower. From the staircase, which sits centrally in the hallway, stairs rise to the first floor. There are five double bedrooms on this floor, including the principal bedroom which has ample wardrobe space, an en suite bathroom and a balcony. There is also a separate family bathroom.

Outside

The property is approached through an electric wooden gate onto a large driveway with plenty of parking for cars. Sitting in the far corner of the drive is the oak framed open bay double garage and store, which has an external staircase up to the first floor where the 7th bedroom and shower room can be found. The drive is separated from the front garden by a low brick wall and there is a path leading up to the front door. The rest of the garden lies at the back of the house and is laid to level lawn with high hedging on the boundaries offering seclusion and privacy. There is a large terrace, ideal for outdoor entertaining, linking the main house with the summerhouse which is home to the gym and games room. This is a fabulous vaulted room with exposed beams and has two sets of bifold doors opening to the outside.
