Rise Cottage is a most delightful period detached cottage with mature gardens and outbuildings, situated in the rural Breckland hamlet of Woodrising. Built of rendered clay lump elevations on a brick plinth under a Norfolk reed thatch roof, the property inside is presented in immaculate condition. Through an oak framed entrance porch, the property enjoys two reception rooms at the front both with inglenook fireplaces with wood burning stoves and some exposed beams. To the rear is a beautifully hand crafted kitchen with pamment floor, wooden shaker style cabinets with soft close doors, range oven and handmade double Shaws sink. The ground floor also has a useful utility boot room and a shower room also with pamment floors. Upstairs is the principal bedroom with handmade oak wardrobes and attractive wooden floor boards. There are two further bedrooms, family bathroom and a study which could be used as a small single bedroom with wonderful views overlooking the neighbouring countryside fields. The property benefits from double glazing with leaded lights throughout.
This property has 0.35 acres of land.
Outside, the property enjoys mature gardens that are mostly laid to lawn with shrub and hedge borders, sun terrace and paths that lead through a number of flower beds. There is also a pond, a number of fruit trees, a meadow garden and a chicken coop. There are two outbuildings of rendered clay lump on a brick plinth construction under pantile roof both supplied with power. The property is approached via a gravel drive with five bar gate to a rear parking area.
