Classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the rolling hills and wooded valleys of the Cotswolds are among the most beautiful in England. Coupled with the attractive houses and cottages built from distinctive local stone, this is an aspirational destination.
Last year, 48% of buyers were from London, either looking for a second home or making a permanent move to the countryside. The area also appeals to international buyers who own property here as part of their portfolio. Excellent communications are a key factor. Motorway links include the M40, M4 and M5, while country stations such as Kemble, Kingham and Moreton-in-Marsh provide good rail coverage. London is less than 90 minutes away and improvements to the Cheltenham/Kemble route will shorten this time. Once in London, Crossrail will provide much-improved access from Paddington to the City.
A key advantage of our team is our in-depth knowledge; many of us were born or grew up in the area and we really know our patch. We are also backed by 10 offices in Central London and over 950 offices internationally through Christie’s International Real Estate.
