I often ask myself what it means to be branded a national or even an international company. It’s often thought that the opposite of this is a ‘local agent’. I am fortunate to have lived and worked in Hampshire for more than 40 years, and my colleague, Simon North, has done the same for even longer.

On this basis, we are very much the local agents working for a firm with national and international connections, offering the best of both worlds.
Winchester is a high-profile city and our office is an important part of the Strutt & Parker network. Today, Winchester has a modern and vibrant energy and offers many of the assets that are considered by people when thinking of a move from London: good schools, beautiful countryside and an hour’s commute to London.
Locally, there is even more to enjoy. We have two national parks: the South Downs and the New Forest. The south coast and the Isle of Wight are a short drive, and the rivers Itchen and Test are world renowned for dry fly fishing.
Whether it’s the stunning architecture of the cathedral, King Arthur’s round table or the statue of King Alfred, the city has a wonderful sense of history. Culture is in abundance here with the Theatre Royal and the annual Winchester Festival.
So why is this part of Hampshire so special? It is home and we love it.
