Spring into action and join Strutt & Parker’s 9th Open House Day scheduled for 6th April.

Across the country, hundreds of properties for sale, from small cottages to larger family homes and even a few mills, will throw their doors open to welcome those who have registered.  Buyers will be able to view at their leisure; as many homes as they like, in any region they pick, at any time that suits them.

We have hundreds of buyers and over 500 properties entering into the spirit of this event.

Participating properties are open to view between 10 am and 3 pm and buyers who are registered can just turn up as and when they wish to look around, with no pressure from agents. Simon Backhouse, of Strutt & Parker's Canterbury office, explains: “The reason we continue to run these Open House Days is because they are successful – buyers like the more informal atmosphere for viewing houses and sellers like the activity and buzz surrounding the event."

Increased advertising and promotion in national and local publications, as well as on our website, in the lead up draw considerably more attention to all houses partaking in the scheme, as well as actual viewings on the day. What is even more of an incentive is the fact that in previous events it has been proven that buyers tend to look at properties that they previously had not considered. A number have then gone on to offer on those; it pushes people’s boundaries.

For buyers who are living increasingly busy lives, the time savings made through seeing X number of houses in one day makes a real difference and can often help clarify what exactly it is they are looking for and want to offer on.

Backhouse continues “Putting your property on the market and participating in this spring Open House Day is a great way of placing your property in the best possible position with a good chance of serious buyers coming through the door and making serious offers.”
