Senior Associate Director, Building Consultancy & Private Projects
Cirencester Estate & Letting AgentsOxford Estate & Letting AgentsStrutt & Parker’s Private Projects
& Building Consultancy team works across the country alongside our Land Management teams and National Country House Department. We can assist in
residential construction projects and offer complete project management
services – advising our clients from beginning to end.
Our involvement is
tailored to your requirements, whether you’re looking to conserve and restore,
retrofit and refurbish, or completely re-design your property. Our team can
offer everything from one-off consultancy to full project management support.
We have a proven track
record in successfully overseeing high value and complex construction projects.
Our approach is to act as a trusted advisor and we prioritise bringing together
all stakeholders in the process to ensure we’re operating as a cohesive team, united
by a shared vision for each and every project. We take an effective commercial
approach to cost and programme management, while still prioritising superior
design, contract administration and project management solutions.
Where required, we also draw on the expertise of our other specialist teams such as Planning, Farm Management and Renewable Energy.
Once we have worked with you to refine your brief, we manage the design drawings and specifications to ensure we’re reducing the risk of projects exceeding budget, being delayed or not meeting expectations. Further peace of mind is provided by our hands-on administration and expert knowledge of procurement and contracts. In other words, we take the paperwork off your desk.
From the regeneration of a disused space to breathing new life into a home, we have an established track record of delivering high quality, turnkey and sustainable buildings – helping our clients to make the most of their properties. We take ownership and responsibility through a single point of contact to interpret, co-ordinate, motivate and drive the project to successful completion.
Our advisors will provide reassurance and council to you on your legal and statutory obligations, including any planning and Listed building factors. Where required, we can take on the role of Principal Designer, which provides the comfort that your project is being run in line with all regulations.
We can advise on your property’s energy efficiency and, depending on your needs, suggest improvements and manage the entire project. Our work can cover everything from a survey summarising your property’s EPC, or a proposed works schedule with advice on renewable energy options, to full project management from start to finish. This can be either a single home or a portfolio of properties.
Once improvements are identified, we will ensure the best suited technologies are integrated into the works programme – whether this is delivered as part of a single package of works or incorporated into the planned works will depend on what reduces costs and limits disruption.
We will also ensure your property complies with energy efficiency regulations, such as the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES).
Our team provides clear, commercially-led advice on the technical risks of acquiring a property interest. We can help you to mitigate the risks, maximise the opportunities and strengthen your negotiating position.
When a defect occurs our team of building surveyors and heritage experts can utilise the latest technology, coupled with their detailed knowledge of construction pathology, to find the cause. We will then establish the most appropriate remedial works, working alongside insurers to elevate the concerns and help mitigate costs.
Our building surveyors are multi-skilled and advise not only landed estate and residential property owners, but also the wider construction sector. We offer a range of specialist services including help with neighbourly matters such as party wall advice, developing cyclical and planned maintenance programmes, advising on health and safety, analysing defects and assessing the cost of buildings for insurance purposes.
