Simon has over 30 years’ experience in the Scottish forestry investment markets, specialising in the acquisition, sale and valuation of woodlands on behalf of private investors, institutions, and public bodies.

He is a knowledgeable silviculturist, actively engaged in the forest carbon markets, and experienced in woodland certification and auditing against UKWAS.
In addition to his work as a valuer, Simon is an experienced forest asset manager, overseeing operational management of woodland portfolios. His expertise includes soils, silviculture, forest economics, and carbon sequestration.
Over the past 20 years, he has developed specialist knowledge in woodland carbon and forest certification, establishing and auditing schemes across Scotland and northern England.
