A detached home located at the heart of a highly sought-after village close to local amenities
Taking its name from the brick-built arches providing front aspect shade, Archways is an attractive architect-designed family home offering almost 2,100 sq. ft. of light-filled, flexible accommodation arranged in a predominantly reverse configuration over two floors. Featuring a wealth of wooden flooring throughout, the ground floor accommodation flows from a welcoming reception hall and comprises a spacious triple aspect sitting room, two generous double bedrooms, one with patio doors to the garden and the other with extensive built-in storage, and a neighbouring dressing room with a door to the courtyard garden. A modern fully tiled family bathroom with a separate neighbouring cloakroom completes the ground floor facilities.
A bespoke staircase with feature curved wall rises from the reception hall to the extensive open plan kitchen/breakfast/family room on the raised ground floor. The large 28 ft. kitchen/breakfast room provides a range of wall and base units, wooden worktops, double Belfast sink, modern integrated appliances and patio doors to the garden and opens into a fitted utility room. Separated from the kitchen/breakfast room by a feature chimney breast with open fireplace, the spacious dual aspect family area is configurable to the purchaser’s own requirements and features full-height glazing incorporating patio doors to the garden. A neighbouring inner hallway gives access to the principal bedroom suite with a generous bedroom, useful store room, suitable for use as a dressing room if required, and modern family bathroom.
Outside
Occupying a prominent corner plot and having plenty of kerb appeal, the property is set behind a low-maintenance shrub garden and is approached over a block-paved parking area and a separate driveway giving access to the link-attached garage. The walled and terraced garden is mainly paved for ease of maintenance and features well-stocked raised flower and shrub beds, an astroturfed courtyard garden and numerous terraces, all ideal for entertaining and al fresco dining and enjoying views over the recreation ground and countryside beyond.
