A charming stone-built former coach house located within the grounds of the picturesque Scatwell Estate.
The Coach House is a characterful stone-built, beautifully appointed residence, located in Strathconon Glen, one of the prettiest glens in the Highlands within Scatwell Estate. The Coach House forms part of the original residential Scatwell estate lying around 6 miles West of the hamlet of Marybank. The property has been comprehensively and sympathetically upgraded retaining its unique character, and provides and provides accommodation over two floors.
The bright entrance porch opens into the spacious and sociable lounge with its partially wood-panelled walls and feature fireplace with a log-burning stove. The accommodation flows into a central hallway with a utility space and a stairway rising to the first-floor level. The dining kitchen/breakfast room features an exposed stone wall with an open fire. There is a range of shaker-style cabinetry on either side of the room, a range cooker and 6-burner hob and ample space for dining.
The skylit first-floor landing branches off onto two well-proportioned bedrooms and leads through a sliding door into a central contemporary shower room with a large walk-in shower. The front-facing principal room also benefits from a stone chimney surround and a freestanding bathtub as well as a W.C with both rooms having a selection of bespoke built-in wardrobes.
The Coach House has been used as a highly successful luxury holiday let, under the brand ‘Highland Coach House’ since 2013. The website, brand and goodwill are available by separate negotiation.
Outside
The property benefits from a handsome façade, with a sweeping gravelled driveway flowing up beside the property offering parking for two vehicles. There is a large corner deck, low-level fencing, a garden shed and store. A large style gate to the front of the deck area provides a separate access to the garden.
