The grass has been licensed for grazing, until 2020 the steel portal frame building has been used for the storage of agricultural machinery: as such there may be a case for permitted development to residential use under Class Q of the General Development Order.

The brownfield site sits within designated ‘open countryside’ where the planning policy is supportive of ‘necessary and appropriate development for sustainable tourism, community facilities & farm diversification.’

POTENTIAL USES These could range from live/work for commercial, leisure or rural uses. Ideas include a transport depot, testing station, general storage, rural service business, camping ground or caravan storage.

To the north is a closed clay-capped landfill site. To the west is an SSSI owned by the Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Restoration Trust.
