Secluded setting

6 Church Street is an attractive detached period Cotswold cottage, tucked away off the road. The ground floor accommodation offers a charming sitting room with flagstone flooring, separate dining room and a well fitted kitchen. There is a lovely open fireplace within the sitting room as well as a door to the cellar. Leading off the dining room is the utility room. The kitchen has a multi-function oven with halogen hob above and a part-glazed door leads directly into the garden. To the right of the entrance hall is a bedroom with a shower room adjacent to it and on the first floor there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom.

Outside

The secluded rear garden has a shed, faces south and west and has both paved and lawned areas, flanked by many mature shrubs and trees including two apple trees, plum and a fig tree. An idyllic space in which to relax and entertain.

Situation

Meysey Hampton is a popular rural village with an active community. It has a well-regarded primary school, an excellent pub (The Masons Arms) and church. Nearby Cirencester offers a good range of shops, restaurants, boutiques and cafes as well as several supermarkets (including Waitrose, Aldi, Lidl and Tesco). The area is well served by a number of excellent schools including Farmors School in Fairford. The immediate area also offers many delightful country walks.

Directions

From Cirencester, take the A417 toward Fairford and after approximately 6 miles, turn right (south) signposted to Meysey Hampton and Down Ampney. Follow the road into the centre of the village, passing The Masons Arms on your right, taking the next right hand turning into Church Street. The footpath leading to 6 Church Street can be found on the left hand side, behind a wooden picket fence, after approximately 150 metres and the cottage can be found on your right hand side.
