This year, the PDSA PAW report outlined that 51% of UK adults own a pet, the top three being cats, dogs and rabbits. The bond produces a calming state in a person, with increased mood and general well-being.
We have all had a lot of lifestyle changes in the past year, including new routines for our furry friends. With more time being spent at home with flexible work patterns, pet owners are experiencing stronger bonds than ever, and are able to spend additional time with them, either with extra training or increased time spent outside.
