His passion for the industry began at the age of 18 when the energy and atmosphere of his first home purchase inspired him to pursue a career in estate agency. Since starting his journey in York in 1999 and joining Strutt & Parker in January 2025, James has developed deep-rooted expertise in the Yorkshire market. 

Specialising in the sale of country houses, estates, and unique builds, James is a trusted advisor for clients transitioning from large family estates to smaller homes, as well as those searching for their "forever home". He offers a comprehensive suite of services including residential sales, private finance, and lettings. 

A lifelong resident of Yorkshire, James has lived in Harrogate for 16 years. He is a proud ambassador of the "Golden Triangle" of York, Leeds, and Harrogate, valuing the area's perfect balance of urban connectivity and the beauty of the Dales. Outside of the office, James enjoys camping, boating with his children and exploring the Yorkshire countryside with friends.
