Fully qualified and rigorously trained, our expert witnesses all hold the Cardiff University Law School Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate. This gives them an in-depth understanding of the responsibilities that go with acting as an expert witness before courts, tribunals and arbitrators, and qualifies them to react promptly to deliver authoritative evidence in even the most complex cases.
Specialists from our offices throughout England and Scotland appear in cases relating to all kinds of property: residential, commercial and agricultural. They advise on all types of cases, including capital and rental valuations and assessment of losses within estate and farm businesses as part of matrimonial disputes, compensation claims, landlord and tenant disputes, professional negligence claims, and family and boundary disputes.
The breadth of expertise within the firm means that our experts can work with colleagues from other specialist areas on cases that require multiple experts.
Charles Huntington-Whiteley is a qualified mediator, accredited with the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) and has been practising as a highly successful mediator for over 15 years. Typically the kind of disputes he is involved in are boundary disputes, disputes with contractors, farming partnership disputes, agricultural product disputes, boundary disputes and disputes over restrictive covenants. This is not an exhaustive list - if it can be fallen out over, we can provide effective mediation. Charles sits on the mediation panels of the CEDR, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and In Place of Strife.
In cases such as rent reviews, where legislation requires settlement of disputes through arbitration, we have experts in all areas of property who can act on behalf of clients in residential, commercial and agricultural cases.
